Athens Sleep and Wellness Center A-STEP Program
We are proud to announce that we are now an accredited AASM A-STEP provider. Our A-STEP course will be a 10-day long program that will provide the knowledge needed to start a career in the exciting field of Polysomnography. All students who take the A-STEP course will be Polysomnographic Technologist Trainees after completion.

Tuition
The course will cost $2500.00. A deposit of $500.00 is required to hold a spot in the course. The remainder of tuition is due 5 business days before the first day of class. Tuition will include all supplies needed for practical instruction time along with the required text for the class.
Course Work
Topics covered during the course will include Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Central Sleep Apnea, International 10-20 system EEG hookup, Polysomnography, Multiple Sleep Latency Test, Pediatric Polysomnography, PAP therapy, and much more. There will be hands on practical sections on Polysomnography hookups, staging and scoring, PAP therapy, and more. All clinical work will be done at Athens Sleep and Wellness Center, an AASM accredited sleep disorders center.

Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is the body that created and administers the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist exam. The BRPT maintains the credential RPSGT and sets the eligibility standards for candidates to sit for the exam. Click Here to view the eligibility requirements and pathways to becoming a RPSGT.
American Academy of Sleep Medicine
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) is the accrediting body for sleep labs and is considered the "Gold Standard" in accreditation. The AASM also created and maintains the A-STEP program as an education pathway for sleep technologists. Click Here to visit the AASM A-STEP page.
